The-Watcher.jpg
The Watcher25 viewsI took this photo earlier this week by the Tampa Aquarium. He just stood there and posed for the longest time
I turned the photo into a painting and on the original photo I blurred the back ground.
I made everything except the black and white flower sign, that came from Dover Publishing freebies.

I"m a believer in RAW35 viewsYes, indeedy... I read and re-read those articles RAW v jpeg. AND... although I know (as y'all do) I don't get lots of web stuff, but sometimes I do good.
I am really good, (my opinion of course, and those who have paid me) to fix old bad pictures.... I am good at restoration. I am good a jpeg restorations -old or new.

I want to share a before and after picture I took in LaJolla, Ca. in Feb.
Almost deleted in the camera because it sucked. Dodo here, bumped the ISO number (but I bet you figured that out already).
I promise, the before is , as shot.

Grand Spider Orchid - depth of field31 viewsReading Sonya's comments about depth of field brought me to this photo that I took yesterday while on a wildflower ramble at a park near my friend's house. Our native orchids are so beautiful and very small so easily overlooked. This guy stood about 15 inches out of the ground and the trailing front petals are about 3 inches long.
I would love to play more with the image to make the orchid stand out more from its background but the depth of field certainly did a pretty good job all by itself.
Thanks Sonya

good-morning-visitors.jpg
Morning visitors26 viewsOne morning, when I took Nutmeg out we were surprised by these birds when we cam around the side of the house. Nutmeg's hunting instinct kicked in at once and she managed to make me run. The birds were not that scared and came back around. Have no clue what they are, going by the bill could be a long billed Curlew but the color is somewhat darker.
The BG came from Marcie's Spring Fling, the heart from her Victorian Blue and the little angel on the frame is from her Raggedy A+A.
