Very cool, Marcie! Other than taking pics of the kids at the parade and later swimming, I didn't take any at night. Too busy wrestling kids, then holding sleeping kids that didn't even last through the entire firework show. LOL

Very nice, Marcie! I got a few nice fireworks in Denver on the 4th. I'll try to get a layout made so I can show you.

LOL Michelle I'm in the same boat as you. we did these off the front porch. NEver went to the ones on City Island. First off it would have been hard to find a spot to park and the kids can see it since they shoot them off from the island. We have to park on the bridge, or on either side of the river then walk. For get it! So we just bought a few real easy ones to do. Hubby did them on the driveway while I kept the kids and took the photos. We really didnot do anything during the day as the entire family was off at different vacations. Oh yeah these were from 2008. We didn't get any this year as we thought someone else was doing that so we missed out. Oh well. next year. :)

Thanks Ellie. Can't wait to see yours.

Marcie...like the LO. We did our own fireworks with some of my siblings and their families. So the kids were able to enjoy it. My youngest brother was lighting most of them and his youngest son was frightened. So his 2 year old son joined me on the chair as we looked out the window and watched. When I offered my lap he gladly took it (wasn't interested the whole week till then). Finally he was ready to go out but had me carry him. He would bury his little head in my shoulder and peek out...real cute and of course his Aunt enjoyed the bit of luv'n from him. This past Saturday we went to a small community that hosts a fabulous firework show put to music. There was a crowd-but worth it. We had almost up front seating so you could lay on the blankets and watch. Of course I had my camera and was snapping lots of pictures from my lap so some turned out and some not.

Yep he was shaking with fear and I sure turned into an immediate friend. Of course I loved the opportunity since most of the week he was too busy to care for his aunties attention. As to the fireworks you have to bring your own chair or blankets.
