Thanxs Sonya.... You can read and read and get more confused.... There are some days my head is just a spinning with info......All the major players in lenses and cameras.....whether you have a point and shoot or bridge camera and then the DSLR's.... they all say "BUY ME"..... I really love my RebelXS... I do realize I need another lens for it, for what I want to use it for.....Love the little power shot, to carry in the purse... excellent for up close and personel shots, got the creative modes to play with in Manual, Tv, Av..... works great for macro, without the expense of a macro lens!!!! Been looking into a mid range camera for Michael for our anniversay... coming soon.

Yes it can become really confusing reading all the information. I remember going thru what you are. But as you become familar with the camera the lens that you get you'll have a better idea of what you'll want the next time around. Should be fun to get two. ;)

Well......I did it....Went out today and bought the new lens..... Really doing the happy dance......Image early birthday and anniversary present!!!!!!

The more researching I was doing on different lenses the more confused and frustrated I was getting......Got so excited I forgot to ask the dealer a couple of questions.....

Sonya or anyone else ready..... Somewhere I read or heard, that there is a conversion for taking a lens and converting the focal range to get a ball park figure as to how much optical range you have...... Like on point and shoots... 3x optical, 10x's...

Hope I wrote this correctly.....

New lens.....AF 18-200 F/ 3.5-6.3 XR

My biggest challenge...besides being in front of the camera????
Anything past "the ON button"... that and the cell phone make no sense to me.
