 Re: Cold and Snowy weather
Here is one article. http://cbs4.com/local/metrozoo.zoo.anim ... 08000.htmlanother I found, I am blocked from at work. Temperature is better today. The children are now allowed to go outside to play. We had a record of 14 days with the high temp < 60. The previous was a 7 day record from 1956.

Thank you for sharing that, M! I really liked the sound effects that came with the hot chocolate part.

 Re: Cold and Snowy weather
We are all covered in snow again! The snow was finally completely gone then another snowfall hit us. The temperatures have been very low these last several days. It's 18 degrees now and just so cold. Yesterday was a high of 10 but with the wind chill factor it's just colder than that. How's the weather where you are?

 Re: Cold and Snowy weather
We don't have any real new snow but the temp have been steady cold since it seems October. Not alot of days above 32 degrees....a few but far and few between. This season the snow doesn't really melt all away because the temp pretty much stay at about 0 to 25 degrees.

 Re: Cold and Snowy weather
We were a day or two short of setting a new record for the number of days here without rainfall. Scientists are saying it is the worst drought in 750 years - great! And the rainfall that 'broke' the drought was just .2 of a millimetre. For those who dont speak metric, one inch is about 25 millimeters. Amazing that they have instuments that can measure such a tiny amoung of rain. The weather is odd all over!

 Re: Cold and Snowy weather
Wow Jan! That is some drought if it's the worst in 750 years. That's an awful lot of years. I hope you get lots of rain soon. Marcie, I feel for you. We've had snow nonstop for several days but it's that light powdery stuff that just makes everything wet. It was the cold temps that were bad here. Yesterday was a little better...it got to 28. Amazingly some of the snow melted yesterday. It's 32 degrees right now so I guess we're finally warming up some. Okay, so Chicago had an earthquake and Dallas got 12&1/2 inches of snow. It's all so unusual!
